Meet Bev – Home Manager at The Bristol Care Group

BEV Home Manager

Behind every successful children’s home is a leader who brings people together, sets the tone, and creates an environment where everyone can grow. At Bristol Care Group, that person is Beverley Page, known to most simply as Bev – a Home Manager with a big heart, sharp humour, and an unwavering commitment to giving young people the best start in life.

A Leader with Vision and Heart

Bev has worked in residential care since 2008 and has been managing homes for almost a decade. Her experience spans the full range of residential care practice, but it’s her leadership style – calm, consistent and deeply people-focused – that makes her stand out.

“I came to Bristol Care Group because I wanted to work for a company that shared my vision of excellence,” Bev explains. “I wanted to be part of an organisation that invests in its staff team and puts outcomes for children first. Here, I’ve been given the support and resources to build a home where both the team and the young people can become the best versions of themselves.”

Building Homes, Not Just Houses

Bev’s greatest strength lies in her ability to create connection. She’s known for bringing people together, turning colleagues into a close-knit team, and building spaces that feel like family homes rather than workplaces.

“I bring people together to form teams that feel like family, create spaces that feel like home, and inspire cultures where every child and every member of staff can truly thrive,”

she says.

Her approach is grounded in warmth, structure, and belief in potential – values that run through every decision she makes as a Home Manager.

A Philosophy Rooted in Care

For Bev, managing a home is more than a role – it’s a commitment. Her motivation comes from a simple but powerful belief in the impact of consistent care.

“Whenever I place a young person in my care, I always think that if I commit two years of my life to theirs, they might get their whole lives back,” she reflects.

It’s this long-term, restorative mindset that defines her leadership and inspires her team to deliver care that goes beyond the ordinary.

A Personal Touch

Away from the home, Bev brings the same humour and energy to everything she does. A proud Tottenham fan (“Up the Spurs!”), she’s also a keen runner and cyclist – though she’ll be the first to admit that her enthusiasm sometimes outpaces her balance and speed.

“I like to cycle, but I fall off quite a lot,” she laughs. “And I like to run, but I’m really slow – in my last marathon I came 10,444th. By the time I crossed the line, everyone had pretty much gone home!”

That light-hearted spirit is part of what makes Bev such a relatable and grounding presence for her team and the young people she supports.

Guiding Principle

Bev sums up her approach to life and leadership in just four words:

“Nothing but the best.”

And for everyone who has had the privilege of working alongside her, it’s clear she means it.
